Different Fairy Tale

Different Fairy Tale

For this project I had to take a fairy tale and change the story line. Well the fairy tale I chose was the story of Medusa and Perseus. However I changed the story by instead of Perseus killed Medusa and taking her head he gets turned into stone inside of her cave. Medusa lives on and now doesn't have to hide in terror.

Spongebob Gif.

Spongebob Gif.
This is a gif. that was created in Photoshop. I took screenshots of the Spongebob episode and created a gif. with it. This post is related to me because it reminds me of my childhood. I used to watch Spongebob Squarepants as a kid and Fred Fredburger was my favorite childhood cartoon character. Fred Fredburger is in a plane because planes are awesome. I think that planes are so cool and I thought it would be cool to incorporate them in the gif.

Hybrid Animal

Hybrid Animal
For this project I chose the deer and the bear to make my hybrid animal. I chose these two animals because I love to be out side and I love to hunt. When I go hunting I go for mostly deer and sometimes bear. Together they are called a Dear. I wanted to see what they would look like combined together. I also added a dog and a cat hybrid. Together they are called a Cog or a Dat. I added the Cog/Dat because the hunter always has to have its retriever. I created a sense of space by placing the Dear behind the tree and making the hunter and dog smaller.

Alternate World

Alternate World

This picture depicts an Alternate World. I had to take several pictures and make them into its own photo. My photo depicts my favorite car driving down route 66. The photo shows many other pictures and details in the background. We had to use the dodge and burn tool to create a sense of light like the sun was creating a shadow. I put the Shawmut Diner in the background because I used to go there a lot as a kid and the car is what my dream car is.

Kaleidoscope

 Kaleidoscope #1

For this Kaleidoscope I used an online Photoshop called Sumo paint. In Sumo paint there is a symmetry tool which created what is above. However after I finished it in Sumo paint I opened it in photoshop to make it symmetrical in the four quadrants. The tool used in Sumo paint uses rotational symmetry because everything is equal in every spot in a circular pattern. In photoshop the type of symmetry I used was mirroring the image over the X and Y axis.

 Kaleidoscope #2

I did the same this for Kaleidoscope #2 as Kaleidoscope #1. I made it in Sumo paint and then made it look like a kaleidoscope in photoshop. I used the rotational symmetry in sumo paint and then in photoshop I duplicated the layer and placed it inside itself to give it a pattern look like a kaleidoscope.
Kaleidoscope #3

For this kaleidoscope I found a picture in the internet and took a part of it and made a kaleidoscope out of it. This is one of my favorites because it has a great pattern.
Kaleidoscope #4

This pattern was originally cool so i used it in a kaleidoscope. I made a right triangle so I could pattern it across the X and Y axis.
Boston Strong Kaleidoscope

My inspiration for the kaleidoscope was the Boston Redsox winning the World Series. I took the logo and manipulated it as many ways as I could think. Because I didn't make a selection out of this the kaleidoscope is boring a plain, but I like the idea of it so I kept it.

Sumo paint Kaleidoscopes

The two kaleidoscopes above were made on Sumo paint. I only used the rotational symmetry tool and they have a great pattern. If you turn off the gravity feed and use random colors this is the outcome. The slower you move your mouse the smaller the line is. I thought this website was really helpful because it helped me make two kaleidoscopes for the project.

15 Green Things

15 Green Things

We received 15 pictures that were all green and had to create a picture only using these objects. I used different filters and hues to make my image. My image is a car that has fallen off a overpass and has sunk into a aqueduct.
